ENG 417: Special Topics in American Literature: How to Be a Woman During the Trump Era
This course explores how contemporary American literature responds to the crisis of the Trump years and beyond. We consider a myriad of creative and critical reactions — life writing, fiction, poetry, journalism, political writing, and popular culture — in trying to cope with and resist against the misogynist outburst of the era.
ENG 417: Special Topics in American Literature: Sex, Power and #MeToo
In this course, students study American literatures related to the #MeToo Movement, which has had a profound impact in the United States and beyond, with memoirs and non-fiction books and stories able to effect social change.
ENG 230: Creativity, Writing and Everyday Life
Examine a broad range of writings about creativity and everyday life — sports, food and family, illness and trauma and healing.
