Curated by Heather Anderson and Irene Gammel, this exhibition brings the radical art, poetry, and personage of Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven into conversation with eight contemporary racialized, Queer, Trans, gender non-conforming and women artists whose own work seeks to counter systems of exclusion, push social boundaries and claim space. Through this conversation, the exhibition explores the radical potential of modern embodied art-making.
