Position

Research Assistant (Research and Arts Administration)

Employment Type: 35 hrs/week for 6 months (renewable)

Salary Range: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour (depending on qualification)

The Modern Literature and Culture (MLC) Research Centre seeks an enthusiastic research assistant to assist with research administration and events support at the Centre, Gallery, and Archive. The RA will serve as research coordinator and report directly to the MLC Director. The role entails assisting with overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Modern Literature and Culture Research Centre and Gallery and involves a variety of administrative and research-related tasks, grants preparation, and events planning tasks. The role requires high-level organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks as they arise on an ongoing basis. Training will be provided. The position would start ideally on July 1 to allow for 2 weeks of training with the outgoing coordinator. Former coordinators have typically benefited greatly from their involvement.
