Modern Literature & Culture Research Centre & Gallery

A PhD Candidate (ABD) in Communication and Culture, Lai-Tze Fan examines the effects of a digital cultural logic and digital textuality on contemporary literature, with a focus on print literature. She has served in many functions including President of the Communication and Culture Graduate Students Association and President of the Graduate Caucus of the Association of College and University Teachers of English. As the founder of the York/Ryerson Intermediately Working Group, she is invested in theories and methodologies of Comparative Media. At the MLC Research Centre, Fan is keenly involved in honing her skills in research and digital mapping and archiving projects related to World War I.
