Anna Krentz
Anna Krentz is a 2014 graduate of Ryerson University's Master's program in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management. She also holds an Honours BA in History from St. Francis Xavier University, with a year abroad at Bangor University in Wales. Her Master's thesis, an investigation of the snapshot deckle edge, was awarded the Photographic Historical Society of Canada's Ryerson Thesis Prize. Her research interests focus on the social, cultural, and material histories of the early twentieth century, and vernacular photography. Anna Krentz joined the MLC research team to deepen and refine her research skills and gain experience with the cultural history approach that is key to the MLCRC’s mandate.
