Dr. Jean-Paul Boudreau
Jean-Paul Boudreau serves as president and vice-chancellor of Mount Allison University. During his time at Ryerson University, Dr. Boudreau served as chair of Psychology from 2003 to 2011, as dean of Arts from 2011 to 2016, and as special advisor and executive lead of social innovation from 2016 to 2018. A champion of innovation and entrepreneurial education, Dr. Boudreau and his team envisioned and launched Ryerson’s first social innovation incubator, the Social Ventures Zone, in 2014. In partnership with the office of Community Engagement, he also launched the ShapeLab, an experiential learning opportunity for students to co-create innovative solutions to Toronto’s pressing urban issues. In May 2018, Dr. Boudreau was appointed to the national Mitacs Research Council (MRC) for a three-year term. He holds a PhD from Tufts University in Boston (1997), and is a professor of Psychology and a fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association. He is one of the longest serving research associates at the MLC, and the MLC is grateful for his counseling on hiring, governance, and research mobilization initiatives.
