Natalie Welsh
Natalie Welsh is a Fashion MA student (2023-2025) with a BDes in Fashion Communication (2018-2023) from Toronto Metropolitan University. Her major research project explores how uniforms hold the ability to showcase intricate structural powers, gender roles, and political values from the time and place they are from. She practices object based research and follows a creative and embodied practice. She holds experience in sewing, costuming, graphic design and art direction. At the MLC, Natalie is involved in the war quilts project. Upon graduation, Natalie intends to work in the fields of fashion history pedagogy, curation, and research.
