Kaela Cadieux provides administrative support at the Modern Literature and Culture Research Centre, working closely with the Director, Dr. Irene Gammel, to implement the Canada Research Chair's mandate. She holds an MA in Literatures of Modernity from Ryerson University (2014), and a Bachelor of Humanities with Honours in English from Carleton University (2011). She has a strong research focus and valuable administrative background, having worked for an accounting firm in Ottawa for two years, and most recently as an intern for the publishing company House of Anansi. Kaela’s research interests include the intersections between trauma theories and memory studies in modern autobiographical literatures. She is excited about being involved in an academic milieu where she is able to help support and mobilize research in and beyond Toronto. In her own words, she has a "boundless enthusiasm for Canadian literature.”
